At Turn1, our goal is to deliver products that vibe with fans. And product quality is a critical piece in this. The look, feel and touch should be in line with what our customers expect. In this post, we will talk about our signature oversized t-shirts from a quality PoV, so you can get a sense of what goes on behind the scenes.

Each Tee is Made to Order

Each Turn1 t-shirt is made to order, which means we finalise the specific t-shirt and printing only after we receive the order. We don’t generally keep stocks of pre-printed t-shirts, at times making exceptions only for our most popular and fast-selling designs. This ensures that our process remains lean and sustainable with minimal wastage. The apparel industry is anyway infamous for waste - we don’t want to add to the problem.

Because each piece is made to order, it takes a bit of time for it to go through the process. We try to dispatch the products at the earliest and typically you will receive your orders within a week across most pin codes in India.

Fabric Quality

Our signature oversized tees use 100% premium Pima cotton - 240 GSM - French Terry. Pima cotton is a type of long-staple cotton known for its superior quality, comfort and soft touch.

Trust me when I say this - you will feel the difference when you wear our t-shirts. 

Some of our other product lines use non-Pima premium cotton across 200-240 GSM. We prefer 200 GSM and above as we want to get a structured look while ensuring that it is not too thick for everyday comfort. Note that creases and folds are a natural feature of all pure cotton apparel, and a quick ironing (inside out) restores the fresh look in no time.

Printing Designs

We use premium DTF printing for all our clothing products, which consists of two parts: printing and preparation of DTF films based on adjusted dimensions and then impressing the designs on the t-shirts using a heat press. The high-quality inks used in the printing process ensure accurate colours - so that you get what you see on our website. No surprises! These prints are durable and will easily sustain multiple wash cycles. We have been using some of our own products and haven’t come across durability issues.

Quality Checks

Quality is checked at every step - when finalising the t-shirt, post-printing and at the time of packaging - to ensure that there are no issues with the product. We ship it only when we are satisfied with the output. We hold our vendors and partners accountable to the same standards. Extremely minor variances in designs or placement are part of any production process, but we ensure that these are kept to the bare minimum.

We carefully pack each order by hand along with a personal note of appreciation for each one of our valued customers. We want you to feel special and part of a small passionate community of F1 fans. Once we ship the order, we work with our delivery partners to track it consistently till it reaches you, and are just a call or text away in case you face any issues.
